A night in black and white
Walk trough this roll with me
This project started with a clear constraint: one roll of black and white film, shot during a single rope session. No retakes, no backups, no digital previews—just 36 frames to capture whatever unfolded. The goal wasn't perfection, but presence. Working with film forced a slower pace, more intention in both tying and photographing. It became less about chasing ideal shots and more about observing real moments—tension, breath, softness, struggle—all unfolding naturally in front of the lens. Every frame had to matter, and that made each one more honest.
